Although the functionality is the same between iOS and Android, today we are going to show you how to use Snapchat on iOS.
Adding Snapchat Accounts
Once you’ve created an account and signed in to Snapchat, a screen will appear that says, “Find your friends.” Press “Continue” and allow Snapchat to access your contacts. The app will then go through your directory and list the people in your contact list who use Snapchat. Tap the Add button to the right of your contacts to be able to send photos and view stories.
It’s okay if you press “Skip” on that first screen to find friends. By touching on the symbol in the upper right corner, you may also add friends. It shows a person and a plural sign in a circle. It will also pull people who use Snapchat from your contacts. Once more, adding someone is as simple as hitting the “Add” button next to their name.
If you want to follow specific influencers or people who aren’t in your contacts, hit the “Find Friends” bar and type in that person’s name or username. Hit the “Subscribe” button to the right of their name, and you’ll be able to see their pictures.
Taking a Snap
Now we will take our first picture. Double-tap anywhere on the screen to switch between your phone’s front and rear cameras. To take a photo, tap the big white circle at the bottom of the screen. To take a video, press and hold the white button and let go when you’re done recording.

When you’re done editing your text, hit “Done” on your keyboard. Now you can move the text anywhere on the screen with your finger.
Use two fingers to angle and adjust the size of the text. You can also draw on Snap. Tap the stylus icon on the right to draw your color options.

To send to individual friends, tap their names and confirm by pressing “Send” at the bottom right. You can deselect friends by tapping their names a second time.
Sending a snap to your story means all your friends will be able to see your photo for 24 hours. To post to your story, tap “My Story” and hit “Send” in the bottom right. You can also post your snap to the Snap Map, which means every Snapchat user can see your story.
